A letter from our New President, David M. Zar

Welcome to the MUG website. I would like to take this opportunity to thank you for visiting and to ask for your help. I have just started my tenure as President of the MUG and would like to make this organization more useful to you. Unfortunately, without hearing what your interests are, I cannot be of much help.

With the MUG, "U" are in the middle. The "U" stands for you, the User. We are here for Users. Without "U" there is no MUG. If you have ideas on ways the MUG can serve you better, let me know. If you want to become more involved with the MUG by volunteering for one of our committees or getting involved in a local user group, let me know. We are only as good as our Users.

Personally, I would like nothing more than to increase the MUG membership over the next year. In fact, I'd like a 50&per; increase by the MUG conference in October 2001! However, we can only do this if the MUG has some value to the Mentor user community. Please tell me what you would like the MUG to do to help you.

If you aren't already aware, we have an annual conference and several local user groups that also have local meetings/conferences on a regular basis. These are great opportunities to network with other users and get information that might not otherwise be available to you. Increasing attendance at these conferences is one way we can make the conference experience better for everyone. Our web site is new and improving every day. With the addition of a Members Only section, we can provide more information to you faster and easier than ever.
