Call for Papers is Now open for MARLUG 2008!

Location: Johns Hopkins University Applied Physics Laboratory (APL), Laurel, MD
MARLUG is the annual Mid-Atlantic Region Local Users Group conference. This highly
interactive, in-depth technical conference focuses on the needs of the entire Mentor
Graphics user community and draws attendees from the area. Our primary goal is to deliver
immediately useful technical content.
The 2008 conference will again offer several hands-on workshops, technical presentations, and networking opportunities. We encourage you to share your best practices, success stories, and lessons learned. Authors are encouraged to submit a topic on the following areas:
- Board Station
- PADS
- High-Speed
- DxDesigner
- FPGA
- IC-ASIC
- Other Topics
Submitting an Abstract is Easy
- Take a look at one of the topics presented at U2U 2007 (SupportNet login required) for ideas. Choose one of these topics, a related topic, or come up with your own.
- Fill out and submit the "abstract submission form” with a short (75 words) abstract by April 2, 2008.

Abstract Review Process
The MARLUG Program Committee will review each abstract. Based on the technical usefulness, topic interest among the Mentor user community and application of Mentor tools, abstracts will be accepted/not accepted for presentation at MARLUG.
Notification of acceptance will be sent by April 11, 2008.

Presentation
We strongly encourage all whose abstract is chosen to include real usage, design or script examples, or related technical content, within their presentation.
Presentation Materials
Speakers are encouraged, but not required, to bring copies of their presentation as handouts for the attendees. Presentations will be published on the U2U website after the conference for downloading or viewing.
Presentation Equipment
Overhead projectors and video projectors are provided. Presentations received in advance of the conference date will be preloaded on a classroom PC.
Presentation Format
A Microsoft PowerPoint format and sample Microsoft Word paper are available in the Author's Kit to help you develop your presentation materials.
