| Tuesday 09/28/99 1:00 - 2:30, Board Design |
This presentation will discuss in detail several different approaches to concurrent layout using both built-in features, commercially available products and custom userware.
Examples will be shown that cover such things as PCB layout reuse using new features available in C.1 and how to use these features to enable concurrent layout using multiple board designers.
Concurrent design normally takes an effort on the part of everyone on the design team to create a database that facilitates concurrent design. If you are working in a service bureau or have little to no influence in how the schematic database is constructed the new features may not be an option for you. If that is the case the second part of this presentation is for you.
To complete the session we will demonstrate how any PCB design group can split ANY mentor design into pieces easily, have each part placed and routed by separate individuals and easily put it all back together without any schematic changes.
