Abstract

How can you integrate the MCAD/ECAD development process? This presentation will include standards required to expedite the electrical and mechanical design process between Mentor Graphics and ProEngineer to help reduce cycle time and improve quality. Included will be library guidelines, ECAD and MCAD library synchronization, PCB development and bidirectional data sharing with IDF, and process consistency. Benefits of using a systematic approach to library creation and the design process will be highlighted and tool improvements will be discussed.
