Dense, double-sided designs can become obscured when all guides are displayed at once. At different stages of the design, it would be desirable to view guides selectively to reduce the complexity of the display. The Layout tool has limited built in capabilities in this respect; however it is possible, using AMPLE, to create a rich set of guide visibility options. This paper will discuss userware that allows users to specify these options, including connectivity by surface, connectivity by area, or both.
