Using BoardStation to Design a PCB With Buried Resistors

Techniques for working with buried resistors in PCB's are not widely documented or understood. In this paper, I will review the fundamentals of buried resistor technology, then describe our solution to implementing this technology using Mentor tools. The paper will conclude with a review of the capabilities and limitations of this solution.

Bio:
For the last 6 years, Bob Sterrett has supported the PCB design process for the Colorado Springs operations of Hewlett-Packard's Electronic Instrument Group. Prior to this assignment, Bob's experiences included hardware product development, Unix system administration, marketing, and field technical support.
