IBIS is the accepted standard for device modeling in high speed board design, and Mentor Graphics is the leading supplier of IBIS models. Even so, high speed board designers may need to convert Quad Design XTK format models to the IBIS format. One way you can accomplish this task is to use qd2ibis, an Interconnectix utility that performs most of the data conversion tasks for you. This paper discusses some of the differences in the IBIS and XTK formats as well as providing a detailed sequence of steps to make your conversion efforts more productive.
