Cherry Semiconductor Corporation

Cherry Semiconductor develops process-independent device calculators that can be used for device model scaling, area estimation, floorplanning, and device generation as it applies to full custom bipolar designs. This approach has resulted in an improved design flow while simultaneously reducing the amount of custom code required to support front- and back-end design tools. This paper will discuss the development and implementation of the device calculators as well as the benefits.

Bio:
Michael Tedeschi is an EDA Development Engineer with Cherry Semiconductor Corporation, which supplies full-custom mixed-signal ICs to the automotive, telecommunications, power supply, and computer industries. He has been with Cherry for five years and is responsible for the development and integration of custom software used to enhance the productivity of CAE and CAD tools. Before joining Cherry, he was involved with the design of thin film hybrid substrates.
