Parts SpeciaList enables customers to more easily and efficiently manage components of a design in progress. Business information associated with components--such as approval status, cost, availability and lead time--changes frequently, and this information is critical to component decisions. With increasing schedule pressures and costs determined early in the design phase, designers can't afford to make component decisions without the benefit of timely analyses and early feedback from other members of the product development team.

Parts SpeciaList now provides designers and extended development teams with a correct and current design parts list. With Parts SpeciaList, designers can create and maintain early design parts lists from the corporate preferred parts database and from Aspect's Very Important Parts (VIP) database, and then synchronize the parts lists with Mentor Graphics' design data to keep them accurate as the design evolves. The up-to-date information can then be shared with other members of the design team.
