Inventra, the Intellectual Property business unit of Mentor Graphics, will define some of the market trends and drivers that are changing the face of ASIC and IC design. We will introduce Inventra's extensive offering of Intellectual Property cores, memories and library elements and explain how it is enabling designers to succeed in this emerging market.

Bio:
Brian D. Barrera is the Director of Marketing for Inventra, the Intellectual Property (IP) Strategic Business Unit of Mentor Graphics Corporation. Brian is responsible for the unit's IP strategy and marketing programs. Before joining Mentor Graphics, Brian was an early member of Comdisco Systems' Signal Processing WorkSystem (SPW) product team. Comdisco Systems pioneered the system-level design tool market and is now the Alta Group of Cadence Design Systems. He has also held a variety of sales and marketing positions at Comdisco/Alta, his last position as director of wireless marketing. Prio to Comdisco, Brian worked at Panasonic as an engineer and developed a series of computer modems. Brian holds a BSEE in communications theory and a minor in mathematics from Michigan Technological University.
