The Lockheed Martin Engineering Process Improvement Center has been working to promote the sharing of library parts among its many sites. Our latest effort has been to implement an approach that uses the company's intranet and Web-based scripts as a vehicle for accomplishing this goal.

The Web-based approach allows site librarians to search the libraries at all the company's sites and, when located, download them to their own library for local use. This approach works from any platform connected to the Web and provides a standard look and feel to the user. In addition, this approach allows access to library data at all sites without compromising the security of a site's Local Area Network.

This presentation will cover the details of implementing our Web-based approach, as well as our experience with it up to the time of the conference.
