The single greatest failure of the EDA industry has historically been in the delivery of correct and fully verified PCB/MCM/Hybrid manufacturing databases for fabrication and assembly. This is primarily a result of a lack of vision on the part of the industry as a whole, and each individual EDA vendor. Intercept has developed an approach to design which allows the designer to reach out into the manufacturing database and provide accurate data the first time, to shorten the development cycle and reduce project costs. This is accomplished through full WYSIWYG design databases where the engineers and designers are working with the precise structures which are transferred to the manufacturing database. These structures are fully verified through comprehensive ERC's and DRC's to create a fully integrated, closed loop design environment from CAD-to-CAM. The manufacturing database is correlated with the design database to certify that the two are in fact representative of each other and match the intended design.
